We have been working on something really special that we want to tell you about. Great grub extraspecially designed for little people…. No, not the pixies that live at the bottom of the garden!

fresh! for kids is our new range of mini sandwiches and salads made with ingredients that kids actually like and we know that because we let them test them first.  

Here’s what’s on the sarnies:

crunchy carrot and houmous
egg mayonnaise – from free range hens, of course!
mild, creamy cheddar made in Somerset
delicious thick cut British ham
tuna with sweet corn in mayonnaise made from free range eggs

they’re half the size of a grown up sandwich – easy to hold and tasty

And we’ve also got two yummy salads for kids:

tuna with penne (the one that looks like a tube) pasta, peas and sweet corn
free range British chicken and fusilli pasta (the twirly one)

The carrot and houmous and the tuna mayo sandwiches are available nationwide in Boots stores

We’re thrilled to have won the Checkout Convenience Award for Best New Convenience Food Product for the second year running.  In May 2008 we scooped this award for our ‘Eat the Seasons’ combo box, a half-salad half sandwich combo made with the best seasonal organic British ingredients and all packaged in an enviro-friendly compostable box.

And, in April 2008 we won the ‘Natural and Organic’ Products award for ‘Best Advertising and Marketing Campaign’.  No, we didn’t spend the Gross Domestic Product of a small country to take out adverts in every magazine and run a TV ad – we just spruced up all our vans, sent lots of people our sandwiches so that they could see how yummy they were and hopefully say something nice about them and tried very hard to make and deliver fantastic sandwiches every day.
